The bride of the year has been chosen: Marissa Burns can now proudly bear the title Ladybird ‘Bride of the Year 2019’.

Hundreds of brides took part in the competition this year and the jury was blown away by the large number of stunning photos. The choice certainly was not easy and, in the end, with thunderous applause it was Marissa, with her beautiful photography (Juliana Renee Photography) and gorgeous, fitted Ladybird dress.

As born American she was stationed in Germany during the time she was looking for her wedding dress. Her mother especially flew into Germany to join her only daughter to the first fitting, an emotional appointment.

Marissa bought the dress at boutique Himmelreich in Schwalbach, Germany. What was really important for her, she experienced the advice of owner Kerstin Walter as very friendly, helpful and above all, honest. Ladybird dress 420073 was Marissa’s favorite. The cut, the color, the details, according to the bride-to-be everything was perfect which caused her to burst into tears. When moving back the US she personally hand carried the dress on the flight from Germany to Alaska, USA. Thus, Marissa’s dream of buying her dream dress in Europe came true.

On the big day of the wedding, guests and groom reacted emotional to the dress. The groom was overwhelmed: “This is not what I expected. This gown is so much more. It’s so elegant and goes perfect with your cowboy boots!”. The boots where the super special accessory to the dress and made the look complete.

As the winner of the Ladybird Bride of the Year 2019 campaign, Marissa receives something very special: the purchase amount of her dream dress.

The Ladybird team wants to greatly thank all participants as well as congratulate Marissa.
